Alaska Trip Announced, State 50 Since 2006
I’m finally going to Alaska. I’ll be in “the Last Frontier” from October 12th to October 20th visiting an old friend of mine, perhaps doing some camping, and certainly spending some time in the cold, cold outdoors. Alaska will be the 50th and final state over what has been a three-and-a-half year odyssey across America. I took most of the last two years off from short-term travel, hunkering down in San Francisco, then Washington, DC, then New York City while I finished my first novel, ROAD WILD HERO. With the book completed and the manuscript, cover letter, and synopsis finally out of my hands, I’m able to travel again. Unlike my travels across the contiguous 48, which I made by motorcycle, I’ll be flying into Anchorage then will go to Talkeetna by car (click the links for a Google Map of it). I’ll be taking lots of pictures and updating my blog every few days if not daily. Thanks for keeping up with me. I’ll try to keep you entertained.
